Hello everybody, i hope you're all doing great... I guess you have already noticed that updates are happening here on a very very slow basis. I have to admit that i can't help but asking myself if this website has any purpose at all, and i was kind of thinking about shuting it down...
Anyway, a bunch of things happened here since last update. Four records came out (
Hyacinth, Ballast and La Fraction LP's and the Asfixia 7" (co-produced with a bunch of other labels). Speaking of that Hyacinth LP, i wrote a piece there that seems to piss off a lot of people. I'm about to write another little piece to explain my motivations, and i will post it there, hoping it will help understand my point (i have to admit that the text in itself isn't really an invitation for communication, but it was also part of my intentions... and i'll try to explain why)
The next record will be that 3x7" compilation project dealing with the theme of sexism. I hope it will be ready for late january. And then, i'm going to try and focus on theme records, with big booklets. I have already started to work on volume two of this compilation project. I might call the project "More Than Music" or something like that. This second volume will deal with prisons and the prison system. Bands that have already agreed being part of this project are: Oi Polloi (Scotland), Seein' Red (Holand), I Know (Belarus, ex-Jiheart), Kobaysahi (Germany), Plaine Crasse (France), Witch Hunt (U.S.A.), Protestera (Sweden), Asfixia (Euskadi) et Halo (Uruguay).
Okay, that's all for today… take care,
Communication not consumption,
Christophe xXx

After a couple of months with no damn updates, here are some fresh news... The Phoenix Foundation EP is just out. The Dimlaia LP has been sent to the pressing plant and should be out in october... It will be co-released with Destructure. Regarding projects, the 4x7" compilation boxet dealing with sexism should be out in january 2006. Witch Hunt have been added to the project. Early 2006 as well, the Hyacinth and Anacharsis Cloots albums should be released. And regarding more further projects, there should be a Face Up To It! LP at some point. Nothing is really scheduled, but i hope this will happen for real.
Zegota have a new amazing EP on CrimethInc., with two songs and a great cover. The Hyacinth EP should be ready next month on Alchimia and D'Ici A La Réalité. The Phoenix Foundation are finishing right now the recordings for the newest album, that will be out on Combat Rock Industry. Ballast are touring the U.S. this october.
Gotta run. Cheers...

Finally, some news after several long months of silence... Last weeks were busy. The european version of the new Submission Hold's album will have take some time to arrive (got shits with the lacquers, with the printing of the covers, and also with the booklets), but finally, it is here. The Ballast's new EP is there too. The band also just put out a fantastic LP/CD on Profane Existence and is starting a long european tour in a couple of days (dates). The next releases for Stonehenge will be The Phoenix Foundation's newest EP, and that compilation boxset 4x7" project dealing with sexism. Then i am willing to slow down the label and to redirect it a bit. I honestly have put out way too many records in 2004, and it has been a really exhausting process, along with a financially crazy year (i end out with too many debts as well). I guess i don't feel like continuing this way, especially in a punk community where i feel less and less at home. I feel like there is too much tradition, apathy and professionalisation in the punk scene of today, and i wish to explore new horizons and to highlight more what i want to accomplish with Stonehenge (taking part in the spreading of a counter-cultural project, questioning the standardized capitalist culture and its sexist, imperialist, homophobic models). I still don't know how to redirect my activities with the label, but i'm thinking really hard about it. The new To What End?'s album is out on Yellow Dog, and the band is doing a north american tour as well. Gotta run. More news soon. Take good care...

Hello everyone. Here come some fresh news... The new Ekkaia EP is just out. It has three new songs, recorded last august. The band is touring europe right now. The Submission Hold LP is called "what holds back the elephant", and it is really amazing. The vinyl version should be out this october, while the CD version should follow shortly this winter. The north american version is put out by G7 Welcoming Comitee. Along the same time, the Dimlaia LP should finally come out. Then will follow the new Ballast EP (just on time for their europan tour), then the new Phoenix Foundation EP (that has just been recorded) and the Storm The Tower split LP, who will finally team up with Coldbringer. I really need to calm down after this crazy serie of releases, and i want to focus on that 4x7" compilation boxset project dealing with sexism. La Fraction just confirmed they will be part of the project, which means that the (almost) final line-up for the compilation will be: Ballast (Canada), Signal Lost (U.S.A.), Criatura (Spain), Juggling Jugulars (Finland), Abductee S.D. (Sweden), Schifosi (Australia), Slowa We Krwi (Poland), No Rest (Brazil) et La Fraction (France). Zegota and Criatura are both doing small tour this october. To What End? are recording their new album to be out later on Yellow Dog. Ok, gotta go. Take good care...

Finally some news... I have to apologize for being so late with everything right now. Just like always, there are a lot of news around here... To start off with, the Amanda Woodward / 1905 split EP is finally here. The wait was rather long, but that's mainly due to communication problems with the pressing plant. The record comes in a 3 colours hand-screened cover, and about 150 copies are in green vinyl for mailorder only (yes, i always have refused to do such things before, but right now i feel that the people ordering the record straight from me are helping me out a lot, and their support is worth this little something in return). The records came in just too late for both bands tours, sorry about that. Ekkaia just finished the recording of their new EP, that should be ready for their october tour. These guys can write songs faster than anyone i can think of. The vinyl version of Zegota's latest album "reclaim!" is freshly available too... The CD version was released in the states by Crimethinc., and Active in the u.k. will do a euro CD press as well. The Phoenix Foundation / Storm The Tower split LP will not happen for several reasons. The next Phoenix Foundation EP will be on Stonehenge later this year though. Also, it is now "official" that Stonehenge will do the european pressing of the newest Submission Hold album, and i'm damn happy about this. The north american version will be released by G7 Welcoming Comitee. The next projects for the label are still the second Ballast EP and the Dimlaia LP. The line-up for this 4x7" compilation boxset project dealing with sexism is almost completed. The compilation will include Ballast (Canada), Signal Lost (U.S.A.), Criatura (Spain), Juggling Jugulars (Finland), Abductee S.D. (Sweden), Schifosi (Australia), Slowa We Krwi (Poland) & No Rest (Brazil). Cheers.

Hello everybody, i hope you're all doing well! Here comes the may update, with a bunch of news... I received the Ekkaia LP today. The record comes with a gatefold and an embossed cover. I have the Fuaim Catha 12" ready as well, with a hand-screened cover. The Amanda Woodward / 1905 split EP should be sent to the pressing plant next week if all goes well. There will be one new song for each band. I hope to have the records ready for the U.S. tours of both bands. The The Phoenix Foundation / Storm The Tower split LP should follow straight after that, just in time for The Phoenix Foundation euro tour. Then, the vinyl press of Zegota's «Reclaim!» and the Dimlaia LP should follow shortly after. I will try to take a little break after that, because it has been way too many records produced in a short time, and i have a lot of debts. In september, there should be the Ballast new EP. Ballast is a band straight from Montréal, Quebec, and they are really amazing. In a more distant futur, i'm planning a 4x7" boxset compilation dealing with sexism, and with probably 8 bands (so far Criatura, Signal Lost, Ballast, Schifosi and Juggling Jugulars are 100% confirmed). The Phoenix Foundation have a brand new mini CD out on Newest Industry, as well as a split EP with Red Cabaret on their own label, Passig Bells, together with Boss Tuneage. The mini CD is compiling both that split EP, as well as the tracks from the split LP with Storm The Tower. The band will tour Germany, the U.K. and France in late june/early july. Amanda Woodward will tour the U.S. in june/july. Their demo and the «Ultramort» album will be repressed as a brand new CD on Destructure and Golden Brown. Their new album «La décadence de la décadence» is also going to be released in the U.S. on Level Plane next month. Fuaim Catha will play a bunch of gigs in Spain early june.

Hello. Well i guess it is time for a little update... I got the Uranus CD two days ago. It took a bit more than expected, but everything is okay now. The CD is co-produced with Feral Ward. The Ekkaia LP and Fuaim Catha 12" are both at the pressing plant, and should be ready by mid-april if all goes well. The Fuaim Catha will have a hand screened cover and will be co-produced with Destructure. The vinyl version of the Dimlaia LP should follow soon after that, as the cutting has already been done. Then, next releases will be The Phoenix Foundation / Storm The Tower split LP and the Amanda Woodward / 1905 split EP. I might also do the vinyl version of the incredible Zegota LP, which CD is out on Crimethinc. for the United States and will be released in Europe by the almighty Active.
The Amanda Woodward LP/CD is out. They are leaving for a small Bosnia/Croatia/Slovania/Slovakia tour next month. They will then leave for a north American tour in june. The Phoenix Foundation are going to tour Europe in july.
Playlist of the day: Sofa Head - what a predicament LP :: The Notwist - neon golden CD :: Econochrist - skewed EP :: Kylesa - split LP w/ Cream Abdul Babar :: Rachel's - the sea and the bells 2xLP :: Submission Hold - sackcloth and ashes LP :: Assfactor 4 - smoked out EP :: The Phoenix Foundation - upcoming split LP :: Dead And Gone - tv baby 12" :: Kochise - plus dure sera la chute 10" :: Belle Epoque Demo :: Harum-Scarum - the last light LP :: Juggling Jugulars - propaganda immunity LP, etc.

           : : :  JANUARY, 7th 2004  : : :

Time for a very quick monthly update. I finally got the covers for the To What End? LP, and this is such a big relief... The Uranus discography CD is at the pressing plant right now, and should be available in about two weeks i guess. Ekkaia have finished the recording of their LP, and the record should be available early march. Amanda Woodward are leaving for a two weeks tour in Poland in early february, and they should have with them their new amazing LP/CD. Take good care.

           : : :  DECEMBER, 8th 2003  : : :

Hello everybody. I know, i know... i'm still late with the updates. Sorry about that. The To What End? LP is unforunately not 100% ready. My sincere apologies to anyone i already traded with. The cover actually took a long time to be finished. The vinyls have been ready for a while now, and the rest is at the printer right now. I hope everything will be available soon now... Ekkaia are back from their tour, and are about to get into the studio to record their new album next week. This recording will actually be the last participation of Javivi, who has decided to leave the band. The record will be co-produced with the band themselves, as well as Alerta Antifascista and Cruda Realidad. The Uranus CD is ready to be shipped to the pressing plant, so if everything is going well, it should be available by january. It will be co-produced with Feral Ward. The Fuaim Catha 7" will actually be released as a 12", as the recording is too long to fit onto a 7". It will be co-produced with Destructure. The european version of the Dimlaia album should be ready for late january as well. The north american vesion is already available through Life Is Abuse. Another project for the label, is the release of a split LP with The Phoenix Foundation from Finland, and Storm The Tower from Texas (with a J Church and Severed Head Of State member). The Phoenix Foundation's side has just been recorded, and is really amazing. Then, later on, there should be a Karras LP/CD... They actually have a 4-song 7" coming out soon on Destructure. Amanda Woodward are hitting the studio next week to record their 1st true album, to be released on EarthWaterSky Connection. I saw them live a while ago, and i can tell that their new stuff is really amazing. Their split records with 1905 should be out later on in 2004. I think that's it for today... Take care.

           : : :  OCTOBER, 11th 2003  : : :

Shit, i haven't been updating the site for a while now... sorry about that! But actually, there was not a lot to say anyway, so i guess this isn't that bad... The Daymare 7" is out and available since a couple of days, but the tour has been cancelled because there had been some change in their line-up. Inertie ceased to exist as a band, but they did their final recording though. The To What End? LP is at the pressing plant, and i hope to have everything here within the next couple of weeks. Nothing really new about the other stuff on the label... Ekkaia are touring europe right now. Don't miss them if they play around your place, because it is a really amazing live band, as well as a bunch of lovely people...
That's it for today i guess. Oh, i also have fixed the links for all the mp3, and now, everything should work okay. Take good care...

                  : : :  JULY, 12th 2003  : : :

Here's a quick update, right before i leave for a couple of days... The Inertie / Karras split LP is finally released. It had been a long and frustrating process, but i'm really happy to hold the baby in my hands... I will do the mastering and cutting for both the Daymare 7" and the To What End? LP next week. Let's hope the records will follow shortly after that, and that nothing bad will happen this time. Got the master for the upcoming Fuaim Catha 7", and it is really amazing... i just can't stop listening to it, and it's really really good! I got an unmastered version of the Dimlaia's album too, and it sounds amazing as well. The layout for the Uranus CD should be finished soon. And then, there's still this crazy list of upcoming records on the label (beside the records i already talked about above, there should also be the Inertie / Vuur split, the Amanda Woodward / 1905 split, the discography CD of Undone (yes, it will see the light one day or another, eheh)). And, there is also a project of co-producing the new Ekkaia LP, together with Cruda Realidad.
1905 are touring North America right now. Amanda Woodward are back from a little tour with Yaphet Kotto. They are playing another bunch of gigs, then they stop touring for a while, and work on writting their new album (to be released on EarthWaterSky Connection). Coche Bomba are touring South America. Daymare will play the french part of the Ekkaia europen tour in october/november. Well, i guess this is all for today...
P.S. Oh yes, i've added a large amount of mp3 in the media section. If i can find some extra space to store them, i will definitively put a lot more online.

           : : :  JUNE, 1st 2003  : : :

After several months of fucking up with updates, for some reasons, i finally decided this morning to redo the whole site (well, actually, the reason probably being that i was fed up with the old one, eheh!)... This time, there are no more frames, layers, anything. It is really a basic site... I hope this way that just anyone will be able to surf through it (yeah, some people are still surfing with Netscape 3.0). I hope you'll love the new design... Since last february, well, lost of stuff happened, of course... First, there is the Inertie / Karras split that is still at the pressing plant (and it has been there for about 9 weeks, which is totally crazy). There had been some shit with the cutting, and everything has been delayed because of this! I hope things will be solved in the next weeks, i have to admit i'm really fed up with that... The To What End? LP should be ready pretty soon as well. The mastering has already been done, and the band is finishing the artwork. The next Stonehenge release will then be the Daymare 7". This is a band i'm playing in. We initially intended to do a demo with the recording, but since the sound quality was good, we decided we'd rather put it out as a vinyl. This is going to be a coproduction with Ratbone. The mastering of the Uranus discography CD has been done too, so it is safe to say that the record should be out this summer if all is going well. It will be coproduced with Feral Ward. For the rest, we'll see how things will be sorted out! There are still a bunch of other records that are planned (the european version of the 1905 LP, the european version of the Dimlaia LP (a band that features the old His Hero Is Gone bass player, the north american version being planned on Life Is Abuse), the Fuaim Catha 7", etc. ), but i don't have a precise schedule for their releases.. Amanda Woodward are just back for a small euro tour, and are starting to work on their next record, which will be a LP/CD to be released early 2004 on EarthWaterSky Connection, the label of Yage's singer. Karras have just recorded another four new songs, to be released later on as a 7". Usqvarna splited up. The european Born Dead Icons tour is now over, and a brand new 7" has just been released by german's Heartfirst.
